Cybersecurity is of strategic importance to the security of our country. It involves protecting key sectors of the economy, citizens and businesses – this requires constant development and advancements.

Our cybersecurity-related R&D activities are centred around developing new, effective methods and techniques of identifying, analysing and responding to network and IT system security threats, as well as finding practical applications for them in the form of our own innovative products.

Ensuring cybersecurity requires a holistic approach, which is why our researchers use tools not only offered by their own fields of study, but also look for answers in neighbouring disciplines, as well as fields which are completely unrelated, albeit still inspiring. For example, our early cyberattack detection and mitigation projects made great use of game theory, social networking and control theory research.
