In the opening quarter of 2023, the number of .pl domain registrants increased, and the number of new registrations was the highest in 2 years.
At the end of the first quarter of 2023, in the .pl domain registry, 2 509 625 names active in DNS were maintained, which was only 631 fewer than at the end of December 2022.
The number of .pl domain name registrations amounted to 192 486 and is quarterly the highest since Q2 2021.
The registrants renewed 498 619 domain names. The renewal rate stood at 72.69%.
In Q1 2023, the number of registrants increased by 4 540. At the end of March, there were 1 116 889 registrants, of which 35.49% were natural persons and 64.51% were organizations.
From Q2 2022, registrants' interest in securing .pl domain names with DNSSEC (Domain Name System Security Extensions) protocol is gradually decreasing. At the end of March 2023, the .pl domain Registry had 431 555 names secured with this service.
