- Project name: Detecting Slow-Rate Application Layer Attacks (GANEF)
- Source of funding: NASK
- Project goal: A series of experiments confirming the effectiveness of a detection method with the use of virtualisation to increase the number of attackers and limit the scope of simulated attacks to the virtual environment.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The project was a continuation of research on methods of counteracting slow-rate application layer attacks. A simple simulation was constructed and experiments were conducted to verify an attack detection method based on a TAM (Triangle Area Map).
PROJECT RESULTS:
- A prototype implementation of the method whose effectiveness was verified in simulated attack conditions
- A publication documenting the results obtained
PROJECT PARTICIPANTS: NASK
