Platform for identification and exchange of information on security threats and frauds based on monitoring and correaation of various Anti-Fraud IQ communication channels (AFIQ))

The main goal of the project is to develop a system technology that allows detecting security threats and attempts of real-time scams and frauds by analyzing users' communication in ICT networks. First of all the system will be dedicated to banks and financial institutions.

  • Project name: Platform for identification and exchange of information on security threats and frauds based on monitoring and correaation of various Anti-Fraud IQ communication channels (AFIQ))
  • Source of funding: National Centre for Research and Development
  • Project goal: The main goal of the project is to develop a system technology that allows detecting security threats and attempts of real-time scams and frauds by analyzing users' communication in ICT networks. First of all the system will be dedicated to banks and financial institutions.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The system will analyze all currently available communication channels between financial institutions and theirs Clients. The main task of the analysis will be to develop a model that uniquely identifies a user and describes his behavior in ICT networks. In order to develop identification algorithms, the system will collect and analyze such data as:

  • voice patterns (voice-prints - data obtained from recordings, using voice biometrics mechanisms)
  • typical phrases, words (data obtained from recordings, using speech processing mechanisms)
  • language (or accent) used by user/consumer
  • telephone numbers used by user
  • identification data of terminals (e.g. phones) of the user, such as: IMEI numbers, IMSI, logins
  • location data (e.g. information about the locations from which connections are made)
  • data on other devices used by the user for communication (e.g. IP addresses, operating systems, versions of messengers, web browsers, etc.).

The system will use artificial intelligence solutions, e.g. it will automatically search for information about a user in a database containing information from various communication channels and build his model describing the ways, channels and devices he uses. For this purpose, the most innovative technologies such as neural networks or fuzzy sets will be used in its creation. An additional project result will be the development of a universal API (Application Programming Interface) that enables the use of the device system in other ICT applications and third-party products.

PROJECT RESULTS: System technology that allows detecting security threats and attempts of real-time scams and frauds by analyzing users' communication in ICT networks.
